Academic journey

My academic journey has led me to ask questions such as:

  • what is the status quo and what could be done to improve it in order to reach vulnerable, at risk populations

  • how could existing systems harness new technologies in order to enact change in a sustainable way

- questions which I'd welcome the opportunity to answer in the future.

To quickly understand my main research topics, you can view my PhD ceremony, which consists of one hour of questioning on my PhD research.

Warwick University

Clinical research master programme

Online tutoring master students during their clinical research master programme on scientific design, methods, statistics, writing.

2017 - 2023

Various

Supervision and teaching during the PhD

Supervised a total of four medical master students during their medical research internship.

Organised and presented courses on research skills and soft skills (presentation skills) in different institutions.

2013 - 2017 (and 2019)

University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi, Romania

Teaching during medical internship

I taught in various medical departments - internal medicine, geriatry, lung science, gastro-enterology, in Romanian, English, and French.

As a teacher assistant, I would conduct the practicals, which, in Romanian medical school, consist of 3-4 hours of clinical experience - students would learn how to discuss with a patient, perform a clinical exam, formulate diagnosis hypothesis, propose a treatment plan, and report on their findings.

2007 - 2012

University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi, Romania

Teaching during medical university

I began teaching as a volunteer during my collaboration with the Physiology department. I taught practicals to English groups of up to 26 students and, sometimes courses to the whole class of 120 students.
